Hiyori had a dog. I was trying to find her.

And brown - with darker brown, perhaps black? On her back. She's very cute - and friendly, too.

Even a small dog shouldn't be too hard to spot here. Is anyone else searching?

I'm not sure. I don't know who else had met her...

I can't fault anyone who isn't thinking of this sort of thing right now.

Dogs are intelligent creatures. She might know something about last night.

. . . Even if she doesn't, she belonged to Hiyori. We should find her for that alone.

Dogs will follow the scent of a familiar item home. If it comes down to that, you can use something of Hiyori's.

I don't have anything of his.

That's why it's a last resort. You'd have to ask someone from his dorm in case he left anything there.

I'm not even sure which dorm he was in.

He wasn't in mine. We'll have to ask around.

He isn't in the Fall Dorm, either...

I'll ask around tomorrow, if I don't find her tonight.

We heard a shout from upstairs - and the sound of something falling.

What, really? We heard the same thing in ours.

It may have been universal.

... I've been told that the dorm heads can listen to us. I wonder if they saw something - what happened, maybe, and were shocked by it.

[ that's a pretty blind guess, though. who knows. ]

If that's the case, why can't we contact them? They're not helping themselves by ignoring us.

It's hard to give them the benefit of doubt, at this point. [ it was more an idle thought than a real theory. ]
