We had to steal an airship out of a hangar and fly to a cathedral on an island. There were bumps along the way, but we eventually made it and were given documents regarding Chad and Viola, as well as a map piece.

It's not a big deal for me. I've gone past the brink before, but my immortal body always brought me back. If you ask me, it was just another troublesome day.

Even if you came back from it, death is still death. I can imagine the toll that must have taken on anyone who wasn't already familiar with it, and to inflict it on you in that way is--

It seemed that way then, but we only received the poison when the odds were stacked against us. Dying would reset our progress and let us advance with prior knowledge of what lay ahead; if not for that, we would've failed at the very beginning.

This... isn't the first I've ever heard of such a thing happening, though it was under very specific circumstances before. I think it goes without saying that this was a dangerous situation, but the fact this happened at all-- it means an even higher degree of control over our presence here than we were already aware of. That would have to be a powerful form of time manipulation.

They could have been, or that experience-- it could have still been meant to hurt you, going through all of it.
