[She's a clever one, that director. Sieghart leans back against the couch.]
It's not a big deal for me. I've gone past the brink before, but my immortal body always brought me back. If you ask me, it was just another troublesome day.
[...she just. rubs at her face, there, quiet again for a few moments; her posture's more tense, and seems to be staying that way.]
Even if you came back from it, death is still death. I can imagine the toll that must have taken on anyone who wasn't already familiar with it, and to inflict it on you in that way is--
It seemed that way then, but we only received the poison when the odds were stacked against us. Dying would reset our progress and let us advance with prior knowledge of what lay ahead; if not for that, we would've failed at the very beginning.
This... isn't the first I've ever heard of such a thing happening, though it was under very specific circumstances before. I think it goes without saying that this was a dangerous situation, but the fact this happened at all-- it means an even higher degree of control over our presence here than we were already aware of. That would have to be a powerful form of time manipulation.
If you truly were being helped, it's unfortunate that you couldn't be healed as well as brought back to life, but-- I'm relieved that all of you are still here.
Had it gone any differently than it did... none of us would have been able to try to help you.

[...well, there's one likely reason they would know those rules didn't work the same way, and the thought makes her go silent for a few moments.
she still has to ask, though.]
How did you learn this?

It's a horrible thing to have gone through.
Was it only to enforce your compliance?

But I wonder if they were trying to help us.

[she exhales a heavy breath, though, and murmurs-]
But I'd very much like to believe that's a possibility.

Catra and Sakyou have the documents. You should ask them to show you.

[and she can't talk to catra right now anyway, so! later it is.]
...you're very calm about all of this, even if you are accustomed to death.

And this is what we've all been looking for, isn't it? It feels like a clue.
