[His ears ring from the awful sound, and he twists to the side just in time—his reflexes really aren't up to snuff here—to avoid the serrated onslaught. Tightening his grip around Soluna, he snarls over the roaring of the chainsaw:]
[Anyway, a downward stroke is easier to dodge than a horizontal swipe. He backs away with a frown, putting more distance between them, and ignores the creaking protest of the shattered bones in his leg.]
[All right, that answers that. He'd rather not parry a chainsaw if he can help it, so he moves away from the dormitories in case of a sleeper's sudden emergence. Too many people are in these buildings.]
[Bogged down by his injured leg, he has no choice but to whip Soluna forward and parry the chainsaw. The chainsaw grinds terribly against the blade while Sieghart's expression twists in indignation.]

She is unfortunately made to be a good jock, so even if she can't use a weapon correctly, she can still be destructive. They are crossing the moat and coming up on the SUB, and she is trying to drive him against the wall so she can cut him in half. ]
[Even a clumsy hand can wreak havoc with a dangerous weapon—and Kainé is no slouch from the way she charges. He knows the area well enough to allow himself to be led toward the wall, where he positions himself near the door of the SUB before intercepting the chainsaw with Soluna again.]
