Same thing as the rest of you. I woke up in a dorm full of strangers and then bugged our dorm heads when they came online.

That it's based on the principal's own criteria and it's a good thing. No word on what the hell the criteria was in the first place.

Well, regardless of what the criteria is, it's good to know that we have a star pupil in our very own dorm.

Man, don't say that. [he would rather be buried in the dirt than be a star pupil.] I was hoping Chad could at least tell me what kind of criteria but apparently the dorm heads don't know either. It's whatever this bear decides is noteworthy.

It's a talking bear. How's anyone supposed to guess what he considers noteworthy?

If they would let us talk to the talking bear I bet we could guess pretty easily.

If we could talk, we wouldn't have to guess.

You really think even if we talked to him he'd be straightforward and believable?

How devious can a bear be?

Depends on if the bear's already evil or not. How many bears have you met before?

Enough to know that they aren't evil by nature. It'd be a different story if he were a beastman, though.

Okay, what's a beastman? Like a different kind of monster?

They're people like you and me—just different. In some aspects they resemble their animal counterparts. That's the only time you'd find a talking bear in Aernas.

Is she a student? I haven't met her yet. Does she have different ears and a tail?

Yeah, to both of those. She's around somewhere, she's in the summer dorm. Cat ears and cat tail. And cat paws? Kinda?
