Mm, it's best not to underestimate the ripple effect of even a single wish, no matter how big or small. It sounds like yours is especially troublesome in that regard, though.

I don't want to do more harm than good, and I don't want to return to a world I don't understand.

You don't want to lose the home you know. That's normal.

But you can't know for sure what effect any wish will have on the future. Who knows? You may end up doing more good than harm.

You're right. It's impossible to know.

A wish can be a burdensome gift. I'm sure you already know this. It's good to think twice about what you ask for, but you'll miss your chance if you hesitate too long.
