They may be. That kind of temptation will be... hard for some to ignore, but so far, I can't say for sure if any will pursue it.

...not just yet, I think. Whether what they're promising is true or not, the competition itself is-- innocuous enough so far.

Either Hope or Love, but-- I think love would come first.

Those aren't bad choices. I'd also choose Hope.

Would you? I'd wondered whether someone in your... particular line of work might be more inclined toward choosing Strength, instead.

Strength by itself doesn't mean much. No one will call you a hero for just swinging your sword around. If you slay monsters for their safety, though, they'll recognize you forever.

If ensuring their safety earned you no recognition, would you still do it?

I've never done it for recognition. I just wanted to fight strong monsters, and keeping the Kingdom safe was reason enough to make a living out of it.

Do you think you're ever going to run out of monsters, or is it a more constant threat than that>
