[Splinted around his leg and wrist, Sieghart hobbles back to the dormitories when he spies Catra. His eyes widen at the state of her appearance.]

Wait, was it you?

[supercatty]

[yeah she's like. covered in goose and squirrel bites. SURPRISE]

[stares at him with a deadeyed look]

What.

[ercnerd]

Mabel was found at the bowling alley . . . Where were you?

[supercatty]

[oh my goooood MABEL???]

[stares at him for a moment before answering]

The library. Apparently. I woke up back at Winter, though.

[ercnerd]

It happened again . . .

How are you feeling? Did you sustain anything other than those bites?

[supercatty]

You mean other than my leg, arm, and ribs?

[ha ha. ha]

[ercnerd]

[Ha.]

If it's like last week, there shouldn't be anything else . . . But I'd rather be sure.

[supercatty]

[she's still not used to people checking on her, oh god. but out of anyone here, she will accept it from HIM and CLAUDE and SAKYOU ONLY]

. . . yeah. It's fine. I'm fine.

Did you guys-- you know. Ever figure out why it happened last week?

[That's such a great honor.]

Dimitri and I spent a day going over commonalities. There wasn't much.

But Kaoruko wasn't responsible for moving us, so something else must be at play.

[supercatty]

The same thing that knocked the dorm heads out of commission last week, maybe?

[ercnerd]

Maybe.

Could you talk to Mabel when it's a good time? See if you can find some commonalities between the two of you.

[supercatty]

. . . sure. But I don't know if there are going to be any. Especially if there weren't any between you and Dimitri.

[ercnerd]

We had a couple, but neither felt substantial.

From what I understand, it probably is random. I just want to compare what we know before I subscribe to that notion.

Week 6: Saturday

[ercnerd]

[He's on his way outside when he crosses paths with Catra. Greeting her with his trademark smile, the air about him is devoid of hostility.]

Can you speak now?

[supercatty]

[she's calmed down a bit from her little. . . ah, "spell" earlier, and by now a few people have come to talk to her so she's not nearly as bitter or angry as she was at the end of trial. so when she greets him, its with one hand on her hip and her head tilted curiously]

If I had said "no," what were you planning on doing?

[ercnerd]

[You wouldn't have been able to say it in the first place.]

Nothing. You've been through enough.

[supercatty]

[oh my god SHE BRISTLES A BIT AT THOSE THOUGHTS, but like. humorously so!!!]

Haven't we all? Everyone here seems pretty exhausted, if you ask me.

[ercnerd]

[Good!]

So you admit to it.

[supercatty]

Well, yeah.

[it's not a feelings thing so she doesn't feel like she has to be cagey]

But like I said: haven't we all?

[GESTURES AT MURDER SCHOOL]

I suppose that's true.

[It's gotten worse . . . If this goes on any longer, everyone will . . . ]

[has been ignoring people's thoughts for the most part, because HOLY PRIVACY BATMAN, but-- this one she doesn't feel like she can just brush aside]

Huh?

[He blinks, but then realization dawns.]

Oh, nothing.

[supercatty]

[stares at him]

That was not "nothing," Sieghart.

[ercnerd]

It will be, because we're all leaving this place sooner than later.

[supercatty]

[tail flick]

Yeah. That's the plan.

[she still studying him pretty carefully, though]

[I can't help but wonder what it is he isn't saying.]
