[No matter what, one shouldn't skip a meal. Sieghart is thus at the restaurant. Instead of ordering straightaway upon seating himself, however, he props an elbow on the table, rests his chin on a palm, and sighs quietly.

Then he blinks when someone enters his periphery.]

Hm? Oh, it's just you.

[wisterin]

[ shinobu also doesn't believe in letting her health waste away despite how she turns herself into poison. a full stomach leads to a better mind. ]

My name is Shinobu, Sieghart-san.

[ i am so inconsistent with honorifics this game. it'll be what it'll be.

death day means very few smile from shinobu. ]

[ercnerd]

[Respect.

Sieghart draws back, straightening. His smile, though ever present, is perhaps a bit blunted.]

Right. You're some kind of a pillar.

[wisterin]

It's a rank in the organization I'm in. It doesn't have meaning here, so you don't have to pay mind to it.

[ she simply wants to be referred to by her name instead of "you." ]

[ercnerd]

[Stern, this one.]

Yeah? What kind of organization is that?

[wisterin]

The Demon Slayer Corps.

[ she's not smiling. i just want to use this icon. ]

[ercnerd]

[Beautiful.

But that's enough to wipe the smile from his face.]

Hmph. Damn demons.

[He orders pizza, to which he helps himself with a smidgen of aggression behind his motions.]

[wisterin]

[ can't believe they're going to bond because they're demon racists except i can believe it. ]

Do you have hateful demons at home, too?

[ercnerd]

[Hell yeah.]

Where aren't they? Not only are they everywhere, but they think it's fun to destroy things that aren't theirs to handle. [He takes a bite and chews. As if.] They're the root of evil.

week 0: saturday

[wisterin]

[ ok murderer i guess we're in the isolation cabin. shinobu hates it here because she hates the camp. ]

Sieghart-san, is there anything you'd be willing to tell me?

[ercnerd]

[It is a hateful place, but Sieghart can't be distracted by that. He straightens at the sight of Shinobu.]

I'll tell you everything I can. Where should I start?

[wisterin]

[ she will sit in front of wherever he is, the jail cell i'm assuming but correct me if i am wrong.

she's posture perfect, and her smile is one that gives away nothing, but it's not hard to tell her vibes are smad. ]

Was this by your own choice?

[ercnerd]

It felt that way.

[Naturally, he's in the cell. More specifically, he's seated on the bed, though he has no intention of sleeping anytime soon.

Shinobu's entitled to her feelings on the matter, so he doesn't say anything regarding those.]

But how I feel shouldn't affect the facts. There was a shadow; though I'm ashamed to say so, it broke down my self-control.

[wisterin]

[ she is angrier now, to hear of a shadow. it doesn't erase that he still killed, but if he wasn't in full control of himself, she can be even more furious at the hotel and its owner.

if they manipulated him.... ]

I understand. [ she is seething. ] You weren't planning anything before Thursday, were you?

[ she has to double check. ]

[ercnerd]

Killing anyone wasn't on my mind. It just stopped feeling so wrong after a while, and I didn't have the will to stop myself when I saw Flayn that night.

[He answers her in a matter-of-fact tone, because he knows himself well enough to acknowledge that the capacity to steal away a life has always rested within him. There's no absolving himself of this one. These are merely the terrible facts, bolstered by his weakness.]

[wisterin]

[ that is enough for her to cast more blame on this entire place. yes, he still killed, but she'd be hypocritical when she killed without her self-control being taken away from her.

she can no longer be as black-or-white as she used to, but it still hurts. ]

I believe you. I can't absolve you, but I believe you.

[ ... ]

How do you want tomorrow to go for you, Sieghart-san? If I ask you how you feel about it all or if there's anything you want, will you tell me?

[ercnerd]

[Shinobu's values are strong. She's a bit acerbic, but there's heart in everything she says. Between this and his own behavior of late, he feels now that she's owed the truth.]

I feel ashamed.

[His failures and cruelty loom over him like a reader's scythe. Still, he straightens his shoulders and smiles.]

But that doesn't mean I've given up. I'm probably going to die tomorrow. Once I do, I want to save everyone; I won't stop until then.

[ me, trying to remember who housed the catchall since it was FROM WEEK 0 :/

anyway what's up they're all here and checked out. who knows if this is before or after party games. idk! ]

I can focus on myself and other people.

[ looks like she didn't forget where their conversation left off. ]

[ercnerd]

[Ah, how time flies.

But she's so uptight. That's not good for her health.]

Then you don't have to focus on me. I've lived long enough to know my way around.

[wisterin]

[ she's poison. there is no helping her health anymore. ]

I think you are concerning, no matter your age.

[ercnerd]

[Concerning.]

I'm not saying that I'm not. I'm saying that I know how to manage myself.

[wisterin]

That sounds a bit lonely.

[ercnerd]

I've been alone for a long time.

But that doesn't mean I'm lonely. There are people I can be with in this era.

[wisterin]

[ she is like, that sounds like bullshit. ]

I am glad you have found people to be with. That's always something to look forward to, isn't it?

[ you know, when they aren't dying on you. ]

Suppose so. I'm not accustomed to returning to people . . . but this era's been full of surprises.
